A couple of years ago we made the brave decision to convert our 18 acre barley field into a Timothy crop. This did not come without its challenges it's fair to say. However, we're now proud to say that 2021 was the first year we took a crop from it.

Those 18 acres yielded a fantastic amount of hay bales (187 big ones to be precise) and we are very proud of the quality of the hay.
Timothy is a premium and more nutritious type of hay that gives the horse a higher intake of fibre and vitamin D and lower sugar and overall calories. So perfect for greedy horses or horses who are prone to laminitis.
