The garden is a manageable size but will allow privacy and plenty of space for children, pets and a drink on the patio on a summer evening.  

 

The Forest ofDean was found to be one of the best places to bring up a family in the whole of England with plenty of good schools, facilities and activities.  Within 10 minutes you can be in the Forest and enjoying walking, cycling and horse riding.  

 

Ross-on-Wye is a lovely old market town with its range of shops and two supermarkets with great pubs and riverside walks.  

Gloucester takes about 20 minutes (depending on the time of day) and boasts all the facilities you would expect of a large city.  Including both Grammar and independent schools.  

 

From the top of Mayhill nearby there are extensive views of the Malverns, Cleave hill and the Welsh mountains.
