Our Rental Cottages

Our four bedroom cottages have been built to the highest standard with a complementary blend of old and new.  We have under floor heating, insulation to the latest grade and more power points than you could ever need, combined with traditional features such as inglenook fireplaces, oak beams and porches and plenty of showers/toilets for yourselves and any visitors.  The two being built are going to be set up to have a flat screen, wall mounted TV (if desired) with no visible wiring) and TV/Internet connections throughout the property.

As you go into the property there is a utility room in which you can slot your washing machine and/or tumble drier, dogs beds and dumping ground for dirty clothes.  There is a cloakroom with shower so all mess created by country people can be left in one place instead of being transported through the property......If only our farmhouse was as well thought out as this!!

Right outside your door are many walks, some of which are circular and others take you towards one of the three village pubs.  Bus stop, primary school, nursery, shop, post office, church and village hall are all within a stones throw as are the villages two residential/nursing homes.

Longhope boasts a good bus service to Ross and Gloucester with excellent secondary schools in nearby small market towns of Ross-on-Wye, Mitcheldean and Newent.

The forest is a ten minute drive with all the outdoor activities such as cycling, walking and riding and the breathtaking display of bluebells in the spring.

one cottage is available at present to rent which will be ready in June/July 2011.  We are looking at £1000/month.   All utility bills and security deposit to be paid by tenant.  With the wood burner, high level of insulation and standard of double glazing it should be very reasonable to heat and keep warm.  We are members of tenants protection service and carry out all necessary annual safety checks.

We are proud of our cottages and feel they blend in well with the surroundings.  The soft lines and use of forest stone give them an aged appearance. Tenants can also enjoy the benefits of 160 acres of farm to roam.

Above all else they are lovely homes and while we have tenants in them it is most definitely their home and not ours.
